Often called the Queen of Hill Stations, Ooty settles into one of its most pleasant stretches starting in October, with mild weather that’s ideal for outdoor exploring. Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in Tamil Nadu, offers sweeping views on a clear day, while the Botanical Gardens and Ooty Lake round out a relaxed, classic hill-station itinerary. It remains one of the most reliably popular October picks for families, thanks to its easy mix of sightseeing and cooler, comfortable weather.
