Sunny Deol’s first look as Lord Hanuman from Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming two-part epic ‘Ramayana’ was unveiled at an event in Hyderabad, where the makers also announced a handfull of spin-offs centred on the world of Ramayana.The official announcement came with the makers announcing their plans to expand the epic saga beyond the two films. Producer Namit Malhotra spoke about his vision of continuing the franchise, and also revealed that the team had put together a video showcasing what lies ahead.“We’re looking to make sure that we don’t stop. The idea is not to make one or two movies and stop the journey of Ramayana. In fact, it is to start the journey,” Malhotra said at the event.He added that the team had prepared a video that had not been publicly seen before. The unveiling of Deol as Lord Hanuman look and the teaser of the upcoming spin-off in store.While the team did not confirm if the much hyped about spin-off was a film or a series, they did confirm through a video, that they have scheduled around 5 projects as spin-offs. Besides Hanuman, projects based on the stories of Surpanakha, Jatayu, Indrajit and Angad were also teased at the event. This update comes amid the pre-release events that have generated excitement around the film.The makers have also announced that advance bookings for ‘Ramayana’ will open on the festival of Dussehra, in India.‘Ramayana’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The first instalment is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026, while the second part is slated to arrive during Diwali 2027.
