The internet loves a good running joke, but few memes have taken on a life of their own quite like Saif Ali Khan’s missing tub of cooking fat.If you’ve been anywhere near Indian social media over the past few weeks, you’ve probably seen the chaos surrounding the actor’s promised reward from his appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. After Saif casually mentioned on air that he never actually received the two-year supply of Gowardhan Ghee he won on the game show, the internet did what the internet does best: it turned a minor TV giveaway into a full-blown online movement. Now, it looks like the long national wait is officially over, and fans are celebrating like they just won a trophy. In a newly posted Instagram video, Saif decided to sit down for a quick Q&A session with his followers. But before taking a single question, he tried to set some firm ground rules. Gesturing to the camera, he laid down the law right out of the gate: “Okay guys, let’s do this. Hi. Before we start, there is one thing I’d like to say, okay? Hum Gowardhan ghee ke baare mein baat nahi karenge. All right?”Naturally, his followers paid zero attention to that boundary.Almost immediately, the comment section turned into a wall of ghee-related spam. Viewers completely ignored his attempts to steer the conversation toward normal topics like movies or daily routines. When one user popped in to ask if the “gauravshali bhandar” (the glorious stock) had finally been delivered, Saif let out a sigh and tried to dodge it. “Nahi bhai, like I said, let’s talk about something fun and nice. Ask me some good questions. You can ask me anything,” he insisted. When another commenter teased that the only reason he even made an Instagram account was to collect his free dairy product, Saif laughed it off. “Okay. I know you think that’s why I came, but nahi bhai. Main khud se aaya hoon,” he explained.Despite his best efforts to keep things serious, the comments kept rolling in fast. One follower suggested he give up “aura farming” in favor of actual dairy farming, while others begged for tips on how to score their own multi-year supply. Eventually, Saif just had to throw his hands up in defeat. “Oh my God! You guys are obsessed with this ghee, and this needs to stop, all right?” he burst out, thoroughly amused by how relentless everyone was being. What made the whole clip even funnier was the subtle background detail: several massive jars of the famous ghee were sitting right behind him on set. Top that off with a caption reading, “This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for…a lifetime supply!!!” and fans took it as an absolute, undeniable victory. The comment section erupted within minutes, with both fans and industry peers jumping in on the joke. The official Sony LIV account chimed in to call it a true “gouravshaali moment,” while musician Yashraj Mukhate dropped a quick “Ghee refill.” Actor Anjali Dinesh Anand took a slightly different angle, marvelling at how easily the Bollywood star handled the camera despite being relatively new to social media content: “How is he already so good at this? I’ve been here a decade and don’t know how to be so good at Instagram.”The real triumph, however, belonged to the fan page @gheeonsaifside – an account created specifically to track down the missing game show reward. They immediately posted a victory lap, declaring in all caps, “HUM JEET GAYE @saifalikhanpataudi! 2 saal ka gauravshali Gowardhan Ghee ka bhandar finally mil gaya hai!!”Others flooded the post with jokes about the sheer volume of product, with one user writing, “Ghee kabhi khatam nahi hoga!” while another gave props to the clever publicity work behind the clip, pointing out that the brand’s marketing team deserved a massive bonus for pulling off such a viral moment.Whether the video was a genuine update or just a brilliant self-aware marketing skit, one thing is for sure: the internet’s favorite celebrity feud – Saif versus a missing contest prize, has finally been put to rest in the most entertaining way possible.
