Singer, composer Palaash Muchhal has been in legal trouble post his wedding with Smriti Mandhana was called off. An FIR was filed by actor, producer Vidnyan Mane who made multiple allegations on him and said that Palash cheated him with Rs 40 lakhs. Confirming the development, Muchhal’s lawyer, advocate Abhijit Desai, told HT City, “Yes the news is true and we plan to challenge the order.”Earlier this year, Mane told the same portal that Muchhal had allegedly cheated him of over Rs 40 lakh in connection with an investment in an unreleased film. He had also accused the singer of cheating on his former fiancée, Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana.Responding to those allegations at the time, Muchhal announced that he had initiated legal action against Mane. In a social media post, he wrote, “A legal notice of defamation of Rs 10 crore has been sent by my lawyer Shreyansh Mithare to Sangli based Vidnyan Mane for his false, outrageous and highly defamatory accusations made with the deliberate intent to malign my reputation and character.”Mane, who is based in Sangli and is a childhood friend of Smriti Mandhana, was closely associated with the former couple. Police said Muchhal had taken Rs 25 lakh from Mane for a film production venture. When Mane repeatedly sought the return of the money, it allegedly resulted in an argument between the two, culminating in the incident that led to the present case.
