Faissal Khan apologises to Aamir Khan and family for public comments against them, credits Quran for reconciliation: 'I want peace, harmony'

Aamir Khan‘s brother Faissal Khan was in the news for his comments on Aamir made publicly. He made several allegations against the actor at a press conference. Months after breaking ties with brother Aamir, Faisal has now publicly admitted to his mistakes for the first time while reflecting on his years-long estrangement from his family. The actor said he regrets making allegations against his loved ones in public and has apologised to his mother, brother Aamir, sister Nikhat, and brother-in-law Santosh Hegde. He said that he now values peace within the family over proving who was right or wrong.Faissal said in an interview with Ujjwal Trivedi, , “I want to first apologise to my mother. I want to apologise to Nikhat. I want to apologise to Santosh. I also apologise to Aamir. In anger and pain, I said many things that I should never have said.” He admitted that speaking publicly against his family was one of his biggest mistakes and believes the issues should have been resolved privately.“I should not have spoken about those things in public. I should have sat down with my family and discussed them.” Faisal added that he no longer wants answers or validation. Instead, he wants to rebuild his relationships. “I don’t want any answers anymore. I don’t want to prove that I am right and someone else is wrong. More than the truth, I want peace. I want harmony with my family.”He further revealed that reading the Quran played a major role in changing his perspective. He came across a verse that emphasised the importance of maintaining family ties, prompting him to reconnect with his loved ones. “I decided to forget whatever anyone had done. Saving relationships is more important.”Recalling the moment he reached out, Faisal said he realised he had distanced himself from his own family and decided to take the first step toward reconciliation. “I realised that I had broken my relationship with my family. That’s when I decided that I would be the one to make the first move.”He shared that he first called his sister Nikhat, who answered immediately. He later learned that his mother often remembered him, and hearing about her emotional state moved him deeply. “She picked up the phone immediately. Then I came to know that my mother missed me. Hearing that made me emotional, and the very next day I caught a flight to Mumbai.”After meeting his mother and apologising to her, Faisal also met Aamir Khan and sought his forgiveness. “I told Aamir, ‘I am sorry. What I did, I should not have done. Please forgive me.’” According to Faisal, his family welcomed him back with warmth and affection, bringing an end to years of misunderstandings.“Everyone welcomed me. My mother, Nikhat, Santosh and Aamir all accepted me. Now all our grievances have come to an end.” Addressing the long-standing discussions surrounding his mental health, Faisal claimed he had been misrepresented. He suggested that his initial medical diagnosis may have been incorrect and pointed out that a later examination at a government hospital cleared him.“Maybe the initial doctors diagnosed me wrongly. Later, the court got me examined at a government hospital, and I was given a clean chit. I also won the case.” However, he said he no longer wishes to revisit those chapters of his life. “I want my family to trust me, believe in me and understand me.”Faisal also urged others to prioritise family over prolonged disputes. “If someone in your family has made a mistake, don’t delay. It’s never too late. Sit together and talk, or simply forgive them. Life is very short.”On the work front, Faissal revealed that he is currently working on multiple scripts and hopes to make films for OTT platforms in the future.“I want to make films that bring people happiness and help them forget their pain, even if only for a little while.” Looking back on his reconciliation, Faisal said that rebuilding family bonds has been far more meaningful than trying to prove his side of the story.
