Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni is gearing up for the release of his next film, ‘Lenin’. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers announced that Jr NTR has lent his voice to the action drama, which is set to hit the big screens this week.
Jr NTR meets the ‘Lenin’ team
The announcement was made on Monday via social media. According to the makers, Jr NTR introduces the worlds of Sriramapuram and Bharatham Mitta at the beginning of the film.Sharing the update, the makers wrote, “A world born out of conviction. Introduced by a voice that needs no introduction. Man of Masses @tarak9999 lends his voice to introduce Sriramapuram & Bharatham Mitta at the beginning of #LENIN.”Akhil Akkineni also thanked Jr NTR for being part of the film. He wrote, “Thank you, Tiger. Thanks for roaring for #Lenin. Eppatiki marichipolenantha Prema ichhavu. Love you, brother @tarak9999.”In one of the pictures shared by the makers, Akhil Akkineni and Jr NTR are seen meeting each other. Another picture shows the two sharing a warm hug.Filmmaker Naga Vamsi also expressed his appreciation. He wrote, “Thank you, my dear @tarak9999 anna, for introducing Sriramapuram & Bharatham Mitta at the beginning of #LENIN. A world born out of conviction. Introduced by a voice that needs no introduction.”
Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, ‘Lenin’ is a rural action drama that also features an emotional love story and a socially relevant theme.
Casting shift
Talking more about the film, actress Sreeleela was originally signed as the female lead and even appeared in the film’s early glimpse released by the makers. However, she later exited the project due to reported scheduling conflicts. Following her departure, Bhagyashri Borse joined the cast as the female lead.Renowned musician Thaman has composed the music for the film.Akhil Akkineni was last seen in ‘Agent’, which turned out to be a box office failure. ‘Lenin’ marks his much-awaited return to the big screen after the 2023 film.
