Meenakshi Seshadri is all set to make her long-awaited acting comeback with the upcoming Prime Video series ‘Nanavati vs Nanavati’, reportedly directed by Vipul Shah. Just two months after relocating to Mumbai to revive her acting career, the veteran star has landed a pivotal role in the courtroom drama, which also reunites her with Jackie Shroff nearly 40 years after their iconic pairing in ‘Hero’ (1983). The series also features Bhagyashree, Ram Kapoor, and Anupriya Goenka, making it one of the most anticipated OTT projects featuring veteran Bollywood stars.

Just two months after revealing her permanent shift to Mumbai to pursue acting again, Meenakshi has landed a role in a Prime Video series. ‘Nanavati vs Nanavati’ marks a reunion with Jackie, her co-star from ‘Hero’ (1983), the film that gave her a breakout hit at the very start of her career.

According to Mid-day, the eight-episode series, directed by Vipul Shah, is presently being shot at Bar Stock Exchange in Andheri West, with an impressive cast rounded out by Bhagyashree, Ram Kapoor, and Anupriya Goenka. Bringing Meenakshi and Jackie, the hit pair of the 1980s, together again after four decades is one of the show’s biggest talking points. Their scenes are expected to tap into the nostalgia associated with Hero, while placing them in age-appropriate characters. Bhagyashree and Ram will play the other couple. Since Ram is on another show right now, he will join the shoot later. The primary schedule is expected to be conducted in Powai.
