    Karnataka Civil Police Constable exam 2026 timing changed for August 2; KEA issues revised notice

    The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has revised the examination timing for the written test scheduled for August 2, 2026, for the recruitment of Civil Police Constable posts under the Kalyana Karnataka cadre. The authority announced the change on July 29, 2026, following requests from candidates regarding travel between examination centres.According to the revised schedule, the afternoon examination, which was earlier scheduled from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, will now be conducted from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.     Examination patternThe written examination will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The paper will cover General Knowledge, General Science, Geography, History, the Constitution of India, the Indian National Movement, Mental Ability, General Studies and Moral Education.KEA has advised candidates to note the revised reporting time and make travel arrangements accordingly. The authority also clarified that the remaining provisions of the recruitment notification issued on June 5, 2026, remain unchanged.Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official KEA website for any further announcements related to the recruitment process or examination schedule.
