A small food shop near a village has caught attention online after a visitor shared details about the way it runs. There is no complicated business plan behind the outlet. Its story is built around an affordable meal, regular local demand, and a very small team managing the work.X user Nalini Unagar shared the details after visiting the shop and speaking with its owner. Her post included information about the number of customers, daily orders, expenses, and estimated earnings, giving a glimpse into the economics of the business.
The ₹100 thali
The shop’s main offering is a vegetarian thali priced at ₹100.It includes two sabzis, roti, dal, rice, papad, and salad. The menu is limited to this straightforward meal, keeping the food offering focused.
More than 40 tiffins every day
The owner said more than 25 people visit the shop daily to eat.The outlet also gets over 40 confirmed tiffin orders each day.According to the owner, farm workers and elderly people living alone nearby make up a large part of the tiffin customer base.
How the ₹1.95 lakh estimate was calculated
The figures shared by Unagar put the total number of meals sold at about 65 a day.At ₹100 per meal, this gives an estimated daily sale of ₹6,500.Over a month, that works out to approximately ₹1.95 lakh.
The couple handles the cooking
The shop is operated by the husband and wife themselves. They do not have staff handling the cooking, which keeps labour expenses lower. The owner also has a small farm where he grows vegetables, reducing the need to purchase all the vegetables required for the food business.
Profit estimated at more than ₹1 lakh
Unagar estimated the shop’s profit margin at at least 60 percent.Based on that calculation, the monthly profit could be above ₹1 lakh. This is an estimate based on the information shared with Unagar and has not been independently verified.
Why the story went viral
Unagar said she had expected a small village-side food shop to have limited earnings. The information shared by the owner gave her a different picture. The shop’s business comes from a combination of customers eating at the outlet and people ordering its food as tiffins. Its location on a main road near a village also brings in regular footfall. The story has attracted attention because it shows the numbers behind a small food business without relying on a large restaurant setup or an extensive menu.Disclaimer: This article is based on information available from the sources mentioned.
