NMC releases list of PG medical students admitted for 2025-26 academic session: Check details here

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the details of students admitted to Postgraduate Medical Courses, including MD, MS, and Diploma Broad Specialty programmes, for the academic session 2025-26. The list has been issued by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) and is intended to help students and medical colleges verify admission-related records.According to the latest public notice, details of 52,690 students admitted to postgraduate broad specialty courses for the 2025-26 academic session have been uploaded despite repeated instructions and reminders to medical colleges. The PGMEB had earlier directed all medical colleges to upload details of students admitted to postgraduate medical education for the 2025-26 session. The original deadline for submitting the information was April 15, 2025.The deadline was subsequently extended, with a further notice issued on May 25, 2026, allowing institutions time until June 8, 2026, to complete the process.

What students should do if their name is missing

The NMC has issued a specific instruction for students whose names do not appear in the published list despite having secured admission to a postgraduate broad specialty course during the 2025-26 academic session.Such candidates have been advised to immediately contact the concerned Directorate of Medical Education (DME) or counselling authority through their respective colleges.Students should not ignore the discrepancy, particularly if they have completed the admission process and are pursuing their course. They are advised to approach the appropriate authority urgently so that the issue can be examined and necessary action can be taken.

Medical colleges asked to take note of notice

The PGMEB has also asked all concerned medical colleges and stakeholders to take note of the instructions contained in the public notice and act accordingly. The exercise follows multiple reminders and announcements seeking admission-related details from institutions. The latest data indicates that records of 52,690 students have been received for the 2025-26 academic session. For students, the immediate priority is to verify their names in the NMC’s published list. Those who find their details missing should coordinate with their college and the relevant counselling or medical education authority without delay.
