NEW DELHI: The International League T20 (ILT20) on Thursday has announced that Chief Executive Officer David White will leave his position after requesting not to extend his contract and deciding to return to his home country, New Zealand.White joined the ILT20 as CEO in September 2023 and oversaw the league during its first three seasons from 2023 to 2025.ILT20 chairman Khalid Al Zarooni thanked White for his contribution to the league’s growth during his tenure.“The ILT20 team acknowledges the hard work and commitment of David White as the league’s CEO during his three-year stay and thanks him for his services,” Al Zarooni said.“Under White, the league made great progress and succeeded in establishing itself as one of the major tournaments in the world. White played a leading role in the league’s growth during his tenure. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”White said he had decided to return to New Zealand after three successful years with the league.“I have decided to return to my home country, New Zealand, after three hugely successful years with the International League T20. I am grateful to the ILT20 for accepting my request,” White said.“I thoroughly enjoyed my stint at the league, which in recent years has grown into one of the top T20 tournaments in the world.“I want to take this opportunity to thank the ILT20 management, the Emirates Cricket Board, my colleagues, tournament franchises and partners for their tremendous work and support. I wish the ILT20 the very best in the years ahead.”
