England completed a 3-0 clean sweep of Pakistan with an eight-wicket win in the third Test at Edgbaston, finishing a one-sided series in style. Joe Root and Jordan Cox then scored unbeaten fifties to guide England home.

England’s victory did not change their position in the World Test Championship standings, as they remained sixth. However, their points percentage improved to 38.54.Pakistan stayed at the bottom of the nine-team table, with their points percentage dropping further to 14.81.India remain fifth in the WTC standings with a points percentage of 51.52 after five wins, four losses and two draws in 11 matches in the current cycle.India’s next assignment in the WTC will be a two-Test series in New Zealand, starting on November 19 in Wellington.
