Cameron O’Reilly, 62, is the son of the late Irish media magnate and international rugby star Sir Anthony O’Reilly. He spent around a decade working in his father’s media empire, Independent News & Media, before later joining Australian group APN News & Media.He stepped down as chief executive in 2000 and went on to establish private equity fund Bayard Capital in 2003. The firm acquired Swiss metering company Landis+Gyr, where Cameron served as chief executive.
