Prabhas will be seen in the upcoming war-action drama ‘Fauzi’ helmed by ‘Sita Ramam’ fame Hanu Raghavapudi was announced to hit the big screens on December 3. The makers have now confirmed the delay, although a new release date has not been announced yet.
Prabhas’ ‘Fauzi’ release postponed
During a pre-release event of Nani’s ‘The Paradise’, producer Ravi Shankar who is backing the Prabhas starrer shared that the film has been postponed. He also shared that it was being pushed back but assured fans that the additional time would help the team deliver a major project.
Makers promise fans the grand scale of ‘Baahubali’ in Prabhas’ ‘Fauzi’
During the event, he said, “‘Fauzi’ is being pushed back a little bit, but it’s a next-level movie. You haven’t seen brother Prabhas look so grand since Baahubali. It’s a movie of that scale. However, small sorry that we are pushing it back a bit. You will cherish it for a lifetime. It’s such a massive and great movie.”‘Fauzi’ was earlier scheduled to release on December 3, 2026. The film was expected to face competition from Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Vrushakarma’ and Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Sri Sri’, both of which are scheduled to arrive on December 4.As of now the makers are expected to announce a new release date, possibly in 2027.
Prabhas in ‘Fauzi’
Talking about ‘Fauzi’, Prabhas is expected to be seen playing a soldier in the film. It marks his return to the period drama genre after several big-budget films. In the poster shared by the makers Prabhas can be seen soaked in blood and can be seen sitting on top of a stone. He can also be seen handling a gun while looking down. A tagline along with him reads, “battalion who fights alone.”
Cast of ‘Fauzi’
Speaking of the cast, internet fame Imanvi Esmail marks her debut as she plays the female lead. It also features Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada in key roles.Other than ‘Fauzi’, Prabhas has big project in his line up including ‘Spirit’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2’ and ‘Salaar: Part 2’.
