How Vijay Deverakonda cut down his water intake during the ‘Liger’ shoot

‘Liger’ released in 2022, and it was Vijay Deverakonda’s big pan-Indian film, but it did not do well at the box office. He said he began with four to six litres of water a day. This was slowly reduced until he was drinking only 200 ml a day.Vijay told Sudhir Srinivasan, “In the last 10 hours before the shoot, you’ve not been drinking water. You’re just licking an ice cube. It’s not at all healthy.”

Vijay Deverakonda says he was sleeping thinking of water

The actor said the deprivation took over his mind. He said, “Every second, from the time I was drinking 300 ml of water a day, every minute you’re just like, ‘Water, water, water.’ That’s all you need. That’s all you want at that moment.”He added, “When I was licking that ice cube and was not allowed water, I was sleeping thinking of water. I was like, I can’t function like this.”Vijay knew he had to get through four more hours of shooting before he could drink. He gave his team clear orders. “I told them, I want coconut water, get four litres of it. I didn’t want food; I just wanted chilled coconut water,” he said.
