Candace Owens has sided with Tucker Carlson in his dispute with Ben Shapiro over the Noahide Laws, accusing the conservative commentator of having a hostile view of Christians. The disagreement began after Shapiro discussed the Jewish religious rules during a Turning Point USA event. Carlson later claimed that Shapiro’s views could put Christians at risk. Shapiro rejected the accusation and pushed back in a YouTube video posted on October 15, 2026. Owens then shared Carlson’s criticism on X and made further personal accusations against Shapiro.
What Did Candace Owens Say About Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro?
Owens shared a clip of the dispute on X and openly supported Carlson’s claims about Shapiro’s views on Christianity.“Tucker is telling the truth. Your worldview on Christians is that we either labor for you or must be destroyed,” she wrote. She also attacked Shapiro over his past relationship with Charlie Kirk, the late founder of Turning Point USA. Owens accused Shapiro of resenting Kirk’s success and questioned how Shapiro had described their relationship.“Your nature is sniveling and backhanded, and the shamelessness with which you tried to rewrite your relationship with Charlie (a natural talent whose success you always resented, much like you do Tucker’s) is proof that you are utterly shameless as well. In both my experience and opinion. Respectfully submitted.”Owens did not provide evidence in the post to support her claim about Shapiro’s feelings toward Kirk. Her comments added a personal dispute to the disagreement over religion. The Noahide Laws are seven basic rules in Jewish tradition that apply to non-Jews. They cover issues such as murder, theft, idolatry and justice. The debate centers on what Shapiro meant when he discussed these rules and whether his remarks supported the claims made by Carlson.
How Did Ben Shapiro Respond to Tucker Carlson’s Claims?
The controversy began after a student asked Shapiro why he had not become a Christian during a Turning Point USA event at the University of Iowa. Shapiro explained that Judaism was his faith and discussed the belief that non-Jews did not need to convert to Judaism.Carlson later challenged Shapiro’s comments while appearing on comedian Jimmy Dore’s show. He argued that Jewish religious laws could restrict Christians and accused Shapiro of supporting a system that could harm people who followed Christianity.Shapiro strongly rejected those claims. In his response, he said:“If we’re going to talk about people who routinely behead Christians, by the way, there is a group on earth that actually does routinely behead Christians. They are called radical Muslims.”He also criticized Carlson’s comments about Jewish beliefs and the religious rules surrounding interest on loans. Shapiro argued that Carlson had misunderstood Judaism and was making claims about his beliefs that he did not accept.Shapiro further questioned why Carlson would accuse him of wanting to harm Christians when he had encouraged Christians to continue practising their faith.“For a guy who apparently wants to behead all the Christians, I sure spend a lot of time telling people that they should go believe in Jesus if they’re Christian and then go to church. I spend an awful lot of time doing that. Like a lot.”Shapiro’s response made clear that he rejected Carlson’s interpretation of his remarks. Meanwhile, Owens publicly backed Carlson and made her own accusations against Shapiro. The disagreement has brought competing views about religion into a public fight between conservative commentators. However, the accusations about Shapiro’s intentions remain disputed, and the statements made by the three commentators should be understood as their own claims rather than established facts.
