The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the Round 2 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2026. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check their seat allotment status by visiting the official website, josaa.nic.in.To access the allotment result, candidates need to log in using their Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main application number, password and security pin.The JoSAA counselling process is conducted for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) across the country.Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 2 must complete the online reporting process, including fee payment, document upload and responding to any queries, by July 3, 2026, till 5 PM. Those who fail to complete these formalities within the deadline may lose their allotted seat.

How to check JoSAA Round 2 seat allotment result 2026

Candidates can follow these simple steps to check their allotment status:

  • Visit the official JoSAA website.
  • Click on the “Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2026” link.
  • Enter your JEE Main application number, password and security pin.
  • Submit the details.
  • Check your seat allotment result.
  • Download and take a printout for future reference.

  • Accept the allotted seat.
  • Pay the seat acceptance fee.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Respond to any queries raised during document verification.

The fee payment issue resolution facility will remain available until July 4, 2026, 5 PM.

Freeze, Float and Slide options

After accepting the allotted seat, candidates can choose one of the following options:

  • Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and do not participate in further rounds.
  • Float: Accept the current seat but remain eligible for a better seat in the upcoming rounds.
  • Slide: Accept the allotted institute while remaining eligible for a better course in the same institute.

Candidates who wish to withdraw from the counselling process can do so between July 1, 2026 (10 AM) and July 3, 2026 (5 PM).Candidates are advised to complete all the required formalities within the prescribed timeline and regularly check the official JoSAA website for the latest updates regarding the counselling process.
