    Longest Vande Bharat Express routes in India that every traveller should know
    India’s Vande Bharat Express network has expanded significantly since its 2019 launch. The Ajni to Pune route now stands as the country’s longest Vande Bharat journey. Several other routes connect major cities and tourist destinations across the nation. These premium trains are redefining long-distance daytime rail travel experiences. The network continues to grow, enhancing connectivity and travel options for passengers.

    India’s Vande Bharat Express network has expanded since the first launch in 2019. Today it has become the country’s one of the most premium train services. While many travellers connect the train with speed, these trains are also redefining long-distance daytime rail travel. Today, several routes stretch well beyond 650 km, connecting cities with UNESCO sites, ancient temples, pretty beaches and hill gateways in a single journey.As per the Ministry of Railways, these are among the longest Vande Bharat Express routes currently operating in India, ranked by route distance.     Distance: 881 kmAs of now, India’s longest Vande Bharat Express route is Ajni to Pune. The service covers 881 km and goes through major stations including Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) and Daund before finally halting in Pune. For travellers, this route offers access to Maharashtra’s diverse landscapes. Pune is a prime gateway to destinations such as Lonavala, Lavasa, Sinhagad Fort and the Sahyadri hills. The route has significantly improved connectivity between eastern and western Maharashtra.New Delhi – Varanasi

It connects the national capital with one of the world’s oldest living cities. The train stops at Kanpur and Prayagraj before reaching Varanasi.The route is perfect for spiritual travellers wanting to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and experience the Ganga aarti in the evening and Sarnath.
