Austin Franco, the controversial Cornell University student, who flatly refused to work with an NYC startup because the boss was Jewish, revealed that Cornell did not take any action against him and now he has $25,000 in his bank account through donations. Basically, the controversy did more good to him. The revelation was made to an undercover investigator from Accuracy in Media, a non-profitr, who pretended to be a fellow antisemite and met Austin Franco.Franco admitted that he did not think he would be at the center of this major controversy after what he said. In fact, he thought he was only being honest because employers don’t give any explanation for not hiring someone; but he did for not accepting an offer.

He said on the face that he won’t work for a Jew.“As of now they (Cornell) said there’s not anything going on on their back end. I think because I didn’t say anything that could be classified as hateful. There wasn’t really a leg they could go on,” Franco said on how his future at Cornell looks.Franco did not express any remorse for his open hatred towards the Jewish and doubled down on that. He only thinks that the controversy could have been avoided.Cornell came under fire as it was revealed in the undercover video that they did not take any action against him. New York Post cited a spokesperson for Cornell who referred to the previous statement of the university that Cornell condemns antisemitism and that the incident had been referred to the Cornell Office of Civil Rights for investigation.Franco reacted to the undercover reporting and said it was sad that everything they said to him for the meet up was lies. “The organization is called “Justice in the Classroom.” They said they wanted to help with life after college and offer support. Mentioned providing like $5k in donations, job opportunities, etc. At the end of the meeting, Hope said she would speak with Mark, who would decide if it made sense for tax purposes for the donor to contribute. Its sad that they were being disingenuous,” Franco said.
