Singapore student Siti Aishah Siregar left home saying she was going to college; hours later her family found her passport missing and a Cambodia flight ticket in her email.Singapore police confirmed that the 20-year-old had already left the country on an outbound flight, prompting an urgent search to track her down in Phnom Penh.According to the teenager’s eldest brother, Syafiq Siregar, who spoke to news outlet Berita Mediacorp, Aishah informed her mother at around 11am on 28 July that she was travelling to Nanyang Polytechnic as usual.Concerns grew later that afternoon when family members arrived at the college campus at about 5pm to pick her up. They discovered that her mobile phone was completely unreachable and her WhatsApp account had been deactivated.Upon returning home, the family noticed that Aishah’s passport was missing from the house. After logging into her email account, they uncovered a flight ticket booking confirmation bound for Phnom Penh, Cambodia.Her father, Sahat Siregar, issued an emotional appeal on Facebook on 30 July, begging authorities in both Singapore and Cambodia for immediate assistance to locate his daughter.He wrote that his daughter is believed to be in Phnom Penh and appealed directly to officials and members of the public to “bring Aishah back home”. In his post, he asked authorities to “please help us find my daughter as soon as possible”.The family confirmed they have lodged a formal police report in Singapore and are working closely with law enforcement. Expressing the family’s growing anxiety, the father highlighted that every moment counts.“We are afraid that every hour we lose could make it harder to bring her home safely,” he wrote in the post, adding, “As a father, I am begging for your help. I just want my daughter to come home safe.”In his appeal, Sahat thanked those who had assisted the family and requested that people share his message widely across social media, noting that “someone may have seen something or know something that could help”.“If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact me or the Singapore police immediately,” he wrote. “Please keep my daughter in your prayers. Please help bring my daughter home safely.”
