Mohanlal has issued an emotional apology to fans and organisers after he was unable to attend a much-awaited stage show in Sydney. The Malayalam superstar was expected to lead the event, but his travel plans were affected after he failed to receive his Australian visa. While the rest of the team, including singer K S Chithra, had already reached Australia, the actor remained unable to travel.
Mohanlal apologises for Sydney show cancellation over visa issue
Speaking in a video message from Singapore, Mohanlal opened up about the disappointing situation and accepted responsibility for missing the event. “I am in a very sad situation. I don’t know how to express my grief. It has been almost 50 years since I entered the film industry. Perhaps, as an actor from India, I am one of those who has performed in the largest number of shows,” he said.Mohanlal revealed that he had never faced such a situation before. “For the first time in my life, I did not get my visa. I don’t know how it happened. It could be a technical error or a clerical mistake. I don’t want to go into the further details of it,” the actor said. He also made it clear that he did not want to blame anyone for what happened.
Mohanlal takes responsibility and apologises to fans
The actor then addressed those who had travelled long distances to attend the Sydney event. “I am taking all the blame on myself. I am telling you that it is my fault. I am very sorry about it,” Mohanlal said. He also acknowledged the efforts made by the organisers and his team to conduct the show.Mohanlal added, “Everyone else is there. Everyone worked hard in every possible way to make this happen. Especially Vimal from Kayal Events and his office, everyone tried their best.” He then directly apologised to the audience who had made arrangements to attend the show. “To each one of you who drove from far away and came to watch this show, I apologise from the bottom of my heart,” he said.
Mohanlal promises to return to Sydney with the same team
Despite the setback, Mohanlal assured fans that the show would not be forgotten. He promised that he would return to Sydney with the same team and present the event at a later date. “I promise that we will come back with the same team and do a wonderful show in front of you,” he said.The actor also admitted that he felt helpless over the situation and asked fans to accept his apology. “I am so sorry. To each one of you, I apologise from the bottom of my heart. Really sorry, and I am helpless. Please accept my apologies,” he added. The Sydney event, which was planned as a major stage show featuring Mohanlal and his team, was postponed after the actor could not obtain his visa. With the team still keen to return, fans will now be waiting for an official announcement regarding the new date.
