Rashmika Mandanna attended the pre-release event of ‘Epic – First Semester’, starring her brother-in-law Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles. Directed by Aditya Haasan, the film marks his theatrical debut. During the event, Rashmika spoke about the filmmaker and said she was proud of him.

Speaking about Aditya, Rashmika pointed out the contrast between his shy personality and what he has showcased in the trailer of ‘Epic – First Semester.’ She also recalled his successful web series 90s – ‘A Middle Class Biopic’ and said the success has raised expectations around his latest project.“Generally, you look like a shy person, but watching the trailer was completely different as you are showing something else. We are all big fans of your 90s – The Middle Class Biopic, and now we have a lot of expectations from you because of that success. You have a huge responsibility with this film. All the best to you,” she said.

Rashmika also praised the trailer, saying she enjoyed watching it and found its romantic-comedy setup reminiscent of Korean dramas.“I liked the trailer. I usually watch K-Dramas, and this trailer feels like a good romantic comedy with a K-Drama vibe. I will definitely watch this film,” Rashmika said.The actress also wished Vaishnavi Chaitanya for the film and praised her character. Recalling what Anand had told her about Vaishnavi’s role, Rashmika said, “Anand told me that your character is one of the most well-written female characters and that you have a sense of power on screen. I wish you all the best.”
