From the minds of M Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks, fans are already buzzing with excitement over the brand new upcoming love story with a twist. While Sparks is best known for his work in the romance and drama genre, like ‘The Notebook,’ ‘A Walk to Remember,’ and ‘The Best of Me,’ to name a few. Whereas Shyamalan specializes in creating mind-bending stories like ‘Unbreakable,’ ‘Praying with Anger,’ ‘Knock at the Cabin,’ and ‘Split.’ In 2025, the two collaborated and created the book ‘Remain: A Supernatural Love Story.’ Now the two stars are working on bringing the story to life with the help of Jake Gyllenhaal and Phoebe Dynevor.

They play Tate and Wren, and the trailer starts off simple, with the two playfully interacting with one another, playing board games and spending time together, until the music changes to something eerie and Wren disappears in classic Shyamalan fashion.Wren says to Tate, “You’re worried. The official description for the upcoming movie reads: “When reclusive architect Tate Gordon moves to a small coastal town to complete his latest project, he encounters an alluring young woman who pulls him out of his shell and into the center of a deadly mystery that hangs over the town.”The story revolves around an architect who moves to the middle of nowhere to complete his project and find some inspiration. He ends up meeting a mysterious woman, and while on the surface everything seems to be going perfectly for them, a deadly mystery brings light to what is really happening around him and in the town. The film is slated to release around Valentine’s Day in 2027.
