Physical closeness tends to fade quietly rather than dramatically. Many couples stop discussing intimacy because it feels awkward, so each partner guesses what the other wants, and often guesses wrong. Pick a relaxed moment, away from the bedroom, and ask what makes each of you feel desired and cared for. It might be a hand squeeze on the couch, a longer goodbye kiss or a midday text. Specific, kind answers help both people feel seen rather than judged, and they keep distance from settling in unnoticed.
