A 19-year-old from Bihar has earned recognition from the International Book of Records after reaching Level 22,222 in the mobile puzzle game Candy Crush Saga. Shubham Kumar, a resident of Dighwara in Bihar, achieved the milestone on July 5, 2026. According to the official website of The International Book of Records, he was 19 years, 8 months and 25 days old at the time. The organisation has recognised the achievement under the category “Highest Level Achieved in Candy Crush Saga (Teenager).”

Kumar’s achievement is specifically a ‘teenager-category record.’ As per the official website of the organisation, the full title used by the International Book of Records is “Highest Level Achieved in Candy Crush Saga (Teenager).” It does not mean that Level 22,222 was the highest level reached by every Candy Crush player across all age groups. Kumar’s Level 22,222 achievement came as the game continued to add new levels. The official King Community marked Level 23,000 as a milestone in August 2026, allowing players who completed that level to claim a community badge.

Kumar also remained active on the official Candy Crush community after setting the record. In a post on the King Community, he wrote that he had reached Level 23,105 and was at the end of the available map at that point. He later reported reaching Level 23,165. These later levels are self-reported community updates and are separate from his International Book of Records certification. In another post on the community platform, Kumar described his record as the result of “years of dedication, consistency, and countless hours of playing Candy Crush Saga.” As reported by TalkEsport, Kumar is a student of Government Engineering College, Siwan.

Kumar’s achievement has now received attention beyond the gaming community. Bihar’s Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education congratulated the Government Engineering College, Siwan student for receiving recognition from the International Book of Records.
